From Germany with Love – CELSIUS RemoteAccess, Fujitsu’s best kept secret

As an English student working at Fujitsu in Germany, I’m sometimes lucky enough to have a sneak peek at some of the exciting new products the engineers cook up in their secret labs.

A couple of days ago I got to have a look at the new CELSIUS RemoteAccess. This really advanced piece of technology means you can use a powerful workstation without having to be sat right next to it, even over the internet. Because the RemoteAccess is directly attached to the workstation graphics card, everything you would see if you were using the computer itself gets transferred. So, I could be at home in London designing a car with a friend in Germany, while both of our computers are actually in Japan!

CELSIUS2                              This little box (right-hand side) gives you real workstation user-experience and performance at a remote workplace

The amazing thing is that all you need is the tiny RemoteAccess box at one end and the RemoteAccess card in the workstation at the other and, once you have networked the two, you are ready to go. Best of all, the box is silent so you aren’t distracted and all your secret information is kept safe in one place, so you don’t need to worry about security.

As an Englishman abroad, it’s exciting to see how new developments like this can help to bring people in different countries closer together! Check out more details on the RemoteAccess here.
